Huntington's Disease Competence Center

The Huntington's Disease Competence Center (CC) diagnoses and treats Huntington's disease and conducts clinical trials of international significance in patients with this rare disease.

The biomedical study "Study of the number of repetitive sequences in the Huntingtin gene" is performed by the Huntington's disease CC. 

Services provided

• qualified consultations of a geneticist, a neurologist, a psychiatrist, a physician of physical medicine and rehabilitation, a nutritionist;
• psychological assistance provided to patients: counseling, overcoming the emotional crisis, supportive therapy, relaxation techniques;
• patients are offered the help of a social worker;
• outpatient and inpatient medical rehabilitation services (consultations and classes of physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, logotherapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, medical psychologists).
