We are the major center in Lithuania dedicated to treating patients with rare bone diseases. We use modern rare bone disease diagnostic and treatment methods. Every year, our specialists train abroad (USA, Germany, Switzeralnd, France, Poland, Latvia and other). Our specialists are the only ones in Lithuania to operate on children with spine deformities.
The Center provides consultations to 150-200 patients yearly with rare bone diseases. Experienced surgeons perform complex surgeries such as craniofacial surgery, combined neurosurgical procedures. Lavsan sublaminar bands, Integra (artificial skin), ZIP (skin closure device) and other modern operative tools are applied when needed.
The Center of Rare Bone Diseases is an affiliate member of European Reference Network ERN BOND. ERN BOND membership improves patient care by allowing specialists to share knowledge and experience and giving a platform to discuss difficult cases with specialists in Europe. Specialists in the center cooperates with the field experts in the USA, charity organization "Lithuanian Children’s Hope".
